WINSTY, our winter institute, is the PAR social action event and the only home-housed weekend event. Over Martin Luther King weekend in January, PARites gather at a different synagogue every year to learn about social justice work and participate in a variety of projects within the community. Projects range from cleaning a park to working with sick children to cooking for the homeless to sorting clothes for shelters to a letter writing campaign to the elected state representatives. WINSTY is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community while making meaningful connections with your NFTY friends.

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12.

  • Meals included in the cost of the event.
  • Registration will be accepted after December 28, 2016 on a space-available basis.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.

All participants traveling by car should arrive at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel by 4:30pm on Friday, January 13th and should be picked up there at 6:15pm on Sunday, January 15th.   

Please note that participants may not drive themselves or others to, from, or during NFTY regional events, which does include driving to the bus stop.

Please leave valuables at home. Do not bring jewelry, electronic devices or large amounts of cash. Each participant is responsible for his/her belongings. 

Participants will receive an email confirmation letter one week before the event. The confirmation letter will include finalized bus arrival and departure information, a list of items to bring and other important information regarding the event.

If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through December 22, 2016 – 90% of the registration fees paidThrough December 29, 2016 – 75% of the registration fees paidThrough January 5, 2017 – 50% of the registration fees paid

After January 5, 2017 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after v you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid.Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.All cancellation requests must be in writing.
